Ice: We’ve all used an ice pack for pain relief at some point in our lives, so why not for laser tattoo removal? Ice packs can be used to numb the skin both before and after a laser session for quick and easy relief. You can apply your own ice pack either at home or while traveling to your appointment. You may also arrive early for your appointment to relax with an ice pack while you wait!
Cold-air machines: If you’ve received a treatment at Evolve, you may be familiar with our cold air machine. The zimmerblows ice cold air onto the skin during your laser treatment. This blast of cold air helps to provide some pain relief, as well as keep the skin cool during treatment to minimize swelling and redness after treatment. We utilize our cold air machine for every appointment, at no extra cost! It can be used in combination with any other forms of pain relief.
Numbing cream: Our most powerful form of pain relief is our prescription strength tri-blend numbing cream. The cream is a mix of benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine. These 3 powerful numbing agents block your pain receptors during a laser treatment. It is available by prescription only, so you’ll want to give us a call in advance if you hope to use numbing cream for your next treatment!
